Hand painted

There are plenty of methods to create a wood sign, but not all are created equal.  Have you ever tried?  It’s not for the faint of heart, as paint on wood tends to be absorbed and bleed.  Obviously there are several techniques to get around that and we’ve used almost all of them on our way to figuring out the best way to do it.

Some of our signs employ masking techniques, all of them use sealants and most of them use both acrylic as well as latex paints.  All of them also use hand painting.  Meaning we get out the old brush and go to work!  Here’s  a bit of our process:
